In-Market Judge – Johnathan Lee

Johnathan Lee is the Execu1ve Director of Ecosystem Development in the Malaysian Global Innovation and Creativity Centre (MaGIC). Ecosystem Development encompasses five key areas, Corporate Innovation, Government Development, International Strategic Partnership, Access to Capital and Social Impact. Previously, he managed the Entrepreneurship Development division that offers educa1on/training courses, global ecosystem exposure and also South East Asia’s leading accelerator program to a global entrepreneurs and start-up community.

Johnathan comes from a diverse background with over 18 years in commercial and investment experience in various industries ranging from finance, healthcare and educa1on. He holds a Masters in Entrepreneurship and a Bachelor of Commerce from Otago School of Business.

Having spent his formative years in New Zealand, Johnathan was engaged by incubators and investors to focus on fast business growth, as well as, securing investments for companies. He strongly believes that a combination of factors including a strong team, a good business model and proper execution, along with financial support are vital to grow a successful business.
